TOPIC:  Careers & Professional Development

SUBJECT:  English

GRADES:  Bachillerato 1 & 2

SUPPORTING MATERIALS:

1 PowerPoint, 2 videos, 3 unit lesson plans, 3 games, 2 homework assignments, multiple templates and examples of a personal resume, cover letter, and recommendation letter

Overview

I selected Careers and Professional Development for my Final Project because it is extremely relevant and useful for Bachillerato students as they prepare to apply to universities and select their future career paths.

The lesson plan consists of 3 units designed to help students prepare for this next step of their education and eventually professional work force. Each unit contains new vocabulary and various activities to keep students engaged: 2 videos to present material in a multi-media way, 3 games & activities to showcase their new skills and knowledge, and 2 homework assignments to help them solidify new material learned in class. The LA should take the primary role in leading the class with the teacher offering additional tips and perspective during discussions.

Lesson Plan
